Eligibility Criteria:
  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Age Limit:
    • General Duty (GD): 21 to 25 years as of July 1, 2024.
    • Technical (Mechanical): 21 to 25 years as of July 1, 2024.
    • Technical (Electrical/Electronics): 21 to 25 years as of July 1, 2024.
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • General Duty (GD): Degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Class XII.
    • Technical (Mechanical): Engineering degree in specified disciplines with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
    • Technical (Electrical/Electronics): Engineering degree in specified disciplines with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.

  • Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CGCAT)

  • Stage 2: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
    • Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test
    • Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT)
  • Stage 3: Final Selection Board (FSB)
    • Interview conducted by a selection board.
    • Tests leadership, communication skills, and psychological fitness.
  • Stage 4: Medical Examination
    • Conducted at authorized military hospitals to ensure candidates meet medical standards.
  • Stage 5: Merit List and Training
    • Final merit list is based on performance in Stages 2, 3, and 4.
    • Candidates undergo initial training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
